John Copelyn joined Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited as chief executive officer in 1997. From 1974 he was general secretary of various unions in the clothing and textiles industries before becoming a member of parliament in 1994. He is chairperson of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited, Deneb Investments Limited and Niveus Investments Limited. He was appointed to the E Media Holdings board in May 2005.

Khalik Sherrif has well over 25 years of extensive media sales experience. He enjoyed a successful career in the radio industry – occupying various roles at Radio Lotus (re-branded Lotus FM under his tenure) and then at the broader SABC Radio group – where he eventually became National Sales Manager. He later worked as the National Sales Manager of Multichoice SA, before joining the eMedia Group in 2002 as the Sales and Trade Marketing Director. He became the Group’s Chief Commercial Officer in 2008.

Antonio Lee is the financial director of E Media Holdings and chief financial officer of E Media Investments Proprietary Limited. He has over 15 years’ post article experience including 10 years’ experience in the media business. He was appointed to the E Media Holdings board in December 2014.
Kevin Govender

Kevin Govender was the acting chief executive officer of E Media Holdings and E Media Investments Proprietary Limited until November 2017. He joined HCI in 1997 and was appointed to chief financial officer in 2001. He also serves on the board of Deneb Investments Limited. He was appointed to the E Media Holdings board in October 2008.
Yunis Shaik

Yunis Shaik was appointed to the board on 3 July 2018. He is an executive director of Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited. Prior to his appointment at HCI, he was an attorney of the High Court and served as a senior commissioner to the CCMA in KwaZulu-Natal. He serves on the boards of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited, Deneb Investments Limited and Niveus Investments Limited.
Loganathan Govender

Loganathan Govender manages his own auditing practice in Durban which is the oldest Black auditing practice in South Africa. He also serves on the board of Deneb Investments Limited. He was appointed to the E Media Holdings board in April 2015 and serves on the audit and risk committee.
Velaphi Elias Mphande

Velaphi Mphande is a businessman. He was employed as national organising secretary of the Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers Union, is the chief executive officer of Vukani Gaming and chairperson of Golden Arrow Bus Services. He is the lead independent director for Hosken Cosolidated Investments and also serves on the boards of Tsogo Sun Holdings and E Media Investments Proprietary Limited. He was appointed to the E Media Holdings board in December 2014 and serves on the audit and risk committee.
Rachel Watson

Rachel Watson has 33 years’ operational experience within the clothing industry as a trade union representative and national media officer. She currently holds a position as station manager at a community broadcaster. She also serves on the boards of Deneb Investments Limited and Hosken Consolidated Investments. She was appointed to the E Media Holdings board in August 2009 and serves on the audit and risk committee.

Mark Rosin

Mark Rosin specialised in corporate, media and entertainment law, and has worked extensively in the arts and culture, film and TV sectors. In 1992 he formed the law firm Jacobson Rosin Wright and represented local and international clients including Sony, EMI Music, Nu Metro, Exclusive Books and many others in litigation and predominantly commercial matters. In 2011 he took up a legal, corporate and business affairs position in the eMedia Investments Group. In 2014 he became the Group’s Chief Operating Officer.
