Reporting to the Programming Manager.
The purpose of this role is in conjunction with the Breakfast team, the creation of content that is both marketable and commercial to the Yfm morning show audience.
Major Accountabilities – Key Performance Areas:
1)a minimum of two hours’ preparation for each programme produced
2)the creation and upload of at least three social media updates on each YFM owned social media platform during each programme produced
3)the presentation of the programme, in live or pre-recorded form at the discretion of the Company, at the Company’s premises, any outside broadcast units and any other venues which may be determined by the Company from time to time
4)Be the Programming liaison with Sales and Marketing Department for the Y Morning’s breakfast show.
5)Produce a world class breakfast show with solid and commercial benchmarks
Key Performance Indicators:
1)Show audience figure performance via BRC RAM.
2)The creation of unique and original content that can be made sharable.
3)The amount of business brought it personally by the producer to the station
Education: Relevant qualification- Must have matric
Experience: A minimum 3 years experiencing producing daytime commercial radio.
Language: Business English
Specific Professional Competencies:
– 3 to 5 years producing for commercial radio
– must have worked on daytime radio
– Strong organizational skills
– strong multi-platform skills (Twitter, IG etc)
– strong research skills
